I have a confession

I confess, I sent my life through Hell because Heaven wouldn’t give me what I needed! I didn’t waste my time; I got nowhere as quickly as I could. Now I’m sittin’ in this misery, and I’m happy as can be, glad to be sad, proud to be a nobody, but at least what I’m feeling is true, can you say the same, honey?
I have a confession, and you better believe it’s raw.
I confess, my time has left me, I’m living on stolen minutes, and I’m just waiting for a train to cruise on through, so if you can’t help me, just keep on going because I’m waiting for a train to carry me home.
What are you waiting for, honey? Do you think you get this old, lonely, and cold for free? I paid my dues and got nothing for everything I’ve been through, livin’ to bleed, yeah, I bled for nothing but at least the scars a real, can you say the same, honey?
I have a confession, and you better believe it’s raw.
I confess, maybe I could have loved you more, but it was always for Rock-n-Roll, and maybe I should’ve been less crazy, maybe my life wouldn’t be so hazy. Then again, what kind of life would it have been if I had walked a straight line?
I have a confession, and you better believe it’s raw.
I confess, I’m never gettin’ up the hill, I’m just stuck in this valley, and it makes me blue, I confess it’s true, no matter the pain, aint what I’m thinking these days. Maybe I should’ve listened to my folks, maybe I should’ve listened to my teachers, maybe I should’ve stayed in school and learned to be a carbon copy of every mold I’ve broken, maybe I wouldn’t be up to my neck in these overdue bills.
