Just A Rocker: I was going through a hard time and questioning if I wanted to quit music, and if I did, who was I without it? Then I had an idea for a guitar riff, the opening riff, and with all this going on in my head, lyrics began to flow, and I answered the question, I'm just a rocker.
Rock n Roll Bit: I was 5 when I decided I wanted to be a Rock n Roll singer. At 15, I got a guitar so I could accompany myself singing and not rely on a band, and at 17, I recorded my first album. I live and breathe Rock n Roll, I even made it part of my religion. Plus, when I started playing this song, I cut myself on one of the strings, and I just kept on playing, hence the lines, Becky Delight just bit me, I'm bleeding all over my strings. Becky Delight is the name of the guitar I was playing.
Rock n Roll Smile: My teeth were hurting so bad I couldn't open my mouth, so I was just gonna record an instrumental. I looked over at my sister, who was also not feeling good, then I smiled at her, and the song just developed from there. By the end, I was in so much pain I collapsed on the floor.
