A farewell with no Regret

I don’t remember when I decided life was mine to take, maybe I always knew, and now the dawn must set, and it does break my heart to know I’ve gotta leave you all, and it’s okay, my body may be gone, but my memory will live on; So, if these words find you and I’m gone, please smile and laugh awhile, because I've lived life to the fullest and I have no regrets. Though shadows gather softly at the edge of all I’ve known, and silence pours its gentle balm through marrow, flesh, and bone, remember the laughter’s echo, the warmth we used to share, threads of golden memory, spun gently through the air. Let tears fall if they must but let them water seeds of hope that bloom in stories, in comfort for your needs. The sun will rise for you again, in colors brave and bright; carry me in your gentle thoughts, and step into the light; So, if these words find you and I’m gone, please smile and laugh awhile, because I've lived life to the fullest and I have no regrets. To my sis, children, and grandbabies, know this: I slept every night in the bed I made, and I kissed every dawn with joy; So, if these words find you and I’m gone, please smile and laugh awhile, because I've lived life to the fullest and I have no regrets. Though farewells may be bittersweet, let them not weigh you down, for every love I’ve gathered here will never truly drown. Each gentle word, each fierce embrace, each lesson, and each song still stirs amid your laughter and in your hearts grows strong. Remember how I marveled at the simplest morning dew or lingered in the golden dusk and whispered dreams with you. Hold fast the light, my darlings, and let kindness be your guide; forgive the petty sorrows, let your better angels bide. If the world feels cold or empty, find the courage to begin to live, to love, to dare, to lose, to rise, and try again. And when you see the evening star, or taste the summer rain, know that I am all around, in joy, in hope, in pain. So, if these words find you and I’m gone, let your laughter fill the skies for every ending marks the start of wonder in disguise; I’ve lived life to the fullest, and in peace, I now rest, carry on, my precious ones, and know I loved you best I could.
