A short introduction
Today, we gather to celebrate the unveiling of a new religion and a new church, spearheaded by none other than the visionary Sarah Schultheiss. Sarah Schultheiss, a prolific author, musician, and scholar, is the mastermind behind and the author of the thought-provoking books "Save Satan" and "The Wicced Witch Bible," and has released an astounding 56 albums that have resonated with audiences around the world. But her achievements do not stop there. Sarah has devoted 50 years of her life to the rigorous study of psychology, philosophy, witchcraft, and Satanism to develop her own unique religion called Musica, which has since evolved into the revolutionary religion she calls Wicced. Together with her sister Denise Goldkamp, and Sarah co-founded the Wicced Sarah Church, a sanctuary of enlightenment and empowerment. Sarah's journey is a testament to the power of relentless passion, unwavering dedication, and unyielding creativity. In January of 2024, Rev. Sarah Schultheiss, the creator of Wicced, had long yearned for unity within her church. And so, in a moment of profound realization, she joined forces with her dedicated student of 15 years, Denise Goldkamp, to reform and rename this sacred place, signifying the unity that Sarah had always sought.
Today, as we stand united in this divine congregation, we bear witness to the birth of a new era. The Wicced Sarah Church is not merely a physical structure; it is a haven of spiritual awakening, an embodiment of enlightenment, and a sanctuary for the seekers of truth. It is here that we celebrate the rich tapestry of religious and philosophical ideologies that harmoniously intertwine within the embrace of Wicced.
Within these walls, we find the synergy of LaVeyan Satanism, Musica, and Wicca. The name Wicced, echoing the roots of Wicca itself, stands as a testament to our unique denomination within the broader Wiccan tradition. Yet, it is not limited to these foundations alone. Our church embraces the vibrant essences of Hoodoo, Voodoo, music, art, and various forms of witchcraft, magick, and diverse schools of thought. At 42 years old when I recorded and released Freedoms Ransom by Dragons of Wicca, it was my second album recorded and the first album released, the first album I recorded was when I was 17 and it was never released, Freedoms Ransom comprised of re-thought guitar licks and pieces of old songs I could remember as well as my first attempt at writing about my addictions and breaking free from them, hence the name of the album, Freedoms Ransom and what the song The Wolf is about.
I completed the album and found it easy to do an independent release, it was supposed to be my only release, I had finished what I set out to do when I was 5 and I was finished then I decided to let my sister and some friends listen to the album, next thing I knew my sister said she wanted to join, she said wanted to play the drums but didn’t know how, so I taught her to play drums and Dragons of Wicca become a full band and I was faced with doing more recording, I had decided to stay independent and explained to my sister with or without a major label there was no guarantee we would make a lot of money, but if we remained independent we own 100 percent of our music and that is what I wanted and she said okay.
Here is a little bit of information, Dragons of Wicca wasn’t just a band name it was the name of the coven I started with my sister and a couple of friends, so I always viewed music as witchcraft, even back when I was first initiated into a coven when I was 10, I knew music was magic and that is why the first incarnation of the witchcraft that I created was called Musica, I wanted to fully capture the magic of music.
Now, 15 years later, The name has changed but I am still writing spells and creating magic, I enjoyed recording under the moniker of Wicced Sarah which we released over 56 albums and some singles but Wicced Sarah Church represents a new beginning for me, and my sister, who has been a loyal and active member of our coven as well as the biggest fan of our music for the past 15 years.
