The Gates of Time
I knew it all along, never doubted my song, bleeding in the night, where the shadows belong. All my days are bloodstains, memories cut deep, but the stars are shining bright, guiding dreams I keep.
The gates of time are old and rusty, as I slam into the dusk, determined to leave my name in the echoes of a lifetime, kickin’ against the gates,
I swear I’ll leave my mark!
I stole my life, running wild through the night, burnin’ up the day, never asking for light. My love was strong, I swore I’d rock and roll, until my dying day, that fire in my soul would never die.
The gates of time are old and rusty, as I slam into the dusk, determined to leave my name in the echoes of a lifetime, kickin’ against the gates,
I swear I’ll leave my mark!
Death, she’s on my breath, howling at the moon, in each line I sing, I feel the dark consume me. But here I stand, proud of my fight, through the pain and the laughter, I’ll burn bright!
The gates of time are old and rusty, as I slam into the dusk, determined to leave my name in the echoes of a lifetime, kickin’ against the gates,
I swear I’ll leave my mark!
I’ll kick against the gates, I’ll kick against the gates, in the echoes of a lifetime, I swear I’ll leave my mark! Yeah, I’ll leave my mark!
I swear I'll leave my mark on the gates of time.
