I’m going down, down, down all the way down! Baby, it hasn't been easy once a Hard Rock, Heavy Metal chick, a hard-living gal, and now I make my living in this lonely-hearts blues band, I’ve paid my dues, and my whiskey-stained voice didn’t come free I’m going down, down, down all the way down to the bottom, yeah! I’m a broken-hearted, bloody, dirty, and stained soul! It’s gotten late, the years have rolled on, and I’m going down, down, down Freddie King style. I rocked it from Kentucky to Cali, and I don’t have a penny in my pocket, got a few albums, and my name on a t-shirt. Still, nobody knows who I am, that's why I'm going down I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but damn, I’ve paid my dues, and my whiskey-stained voice didn’t come free I’m going down, down, down all the way down to the bottom! I’m a broken-hearted, bloody, dirty, and stained soul! It’s gotten late, the years have rolled on, and now I’m going down, down, down all the way down. I'm in Texas playing with a King in my hand my feet are out the window and my head is on the ground one day I'll make it back to Kentucky but for now, I'm going down, down, down all the way down Freddie King-style, I’ve paid my dues, and my whiskey-stained voice didn’t come free I’m going down, down, down all the way down to the bottom! I’m a broken-hearted, bloody, dirty, and stained soul! It’s gotten late, the years have rolled on and now I’m going down, down, down Freddie King style. I’m going down, down, down, all of the way down Freddie King-style, I’m going down, down, down, down, all the way down Freddie King style I’m in Texas playin' in this lonely-hearts band with a King in my hand someday I’ll make it back to Kentucky but for now I’ve got them Texas-sized blues.
